The Amsterdam Manor is a really great place to stay in Aruba. I went there to celebrate my birthday and the entire staff made me feel very welcome. They even surprised me with a bottle of wine in my room. (A nice touch). Hats off to Christy, Ellis, Sacha and all the rest of the staff. The staff at Mango's were very nice as well. (Paula,Marianne,Penny & Jorge). The rooms were great;the pool, beach and all the surroundings. If I ever come to Aruba again (and I do plan to), I will stay at the Amsterdam Manor. They do their very best to make everyone feel comfortable and special.Keep up the great work!!
This was our first trip to Aruba, and will not be our last. We are presently planning a trip back this July 2005 and this time we will bring the kids. We loved the intimate atmosphere and the friendly staff. It was like we were a part of thier family. The convience of the bus stop right in front of hotel made it easy to travel the entire island without renting a car. The food at the Mango Resturant was fantastic. Something for all. Can wait to introduce my family to this wonderful islanmd and great resort. Thank You!!!

This was our first trip to Aruba and thoroughly enjoyed staying at the hotel. All staff, from the front desk to the cleaning ladies, were absolutely delightful and were always ready to give any help if needed. Loved the beach and enjoyed many lunches from the Beach Bar. All meals from Mango's were great and the waiters/waitresses were always friendly and polite. We would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends and plan to visit again next year.
Yet another wonderful stay at the Amsterdam Manor!!
It's like coming home! = )
Everyone is so friendly and nice and welcoming.
We had a wonderful 2 bedroom on the second floor overlooking the restaurant with a great view of the ocean and a perfect view of the sunsets.
Room service was superb!! = )
Food was excellent - great Onion Soup and Escargots!!
Chef Marc is a great asset to the resort.
The beach bar was great for lunch. Just order from the bar and they deliver right to your lounge chair.
The pool bar was excellent!! Great for Happy Hour from 5 to 6pm and again from 9 to 10pm. We never left our seats one night and hit BOTH Happy Hours!! I blame it all on Filo the bartender!!
He's the best bartender on the island, in my opinion!
Filo is quite the character, too - friendly, funny, and pours a mean Long Island Ice Tea!! And he sings during the Manager's Cocktail Party on Thursdays during the first Happy Hour!
There's a great band that plays during this time too - a must see. Francis and his young son, John Francis. Amazing talent!!
They also play at the beach bar on Sundays from 5 to 6pm.
All in all, the whole staff at the AMBR is wonderful! The resort itself is beautiful and WELL maintained. It's pretty at night with all the twinkly lights lit up. It's the little things that matter, and AMBR has it ALL!!
Can't wait to return in September!!
Keep up the good work!!
We wanted to send our thanks for your hospitality. Your hotel was the best choice one could have made when traveling to Aruba. It was like we were in a quaint Dutch Village. The grounds were pleasing and the beach was great. Our room was large and clean and the maid service was outstanding.
The location of your resort was awesome, right on the bus line. The bus drivers were nice and made sure we knew exactly were we wanted to get off. The front desk was helpful with organizing reservations and taxis when needed. I especially like the free Internet, I was able to stay in contact with home at no charge.
The show your staff presented on Friday Night was incredible, as was the buffet. We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay at your hotel.
The day we checked in was my mother-in-law's birthday. The front desk noticed this on her passport and sent a bottle of wine-what a great surprise! We are already planning on visiting Aruba again and of course we will be staying at your resort.

This was our 10th time to Aruba since 1989 where we stayed at the "Americana" (now Allegro).
Since then we have stayed at the Amsterdam Manor because it is a smaller, quaint, European style Hotel. From the very first time we knew we made the right choice. The Staff are so warm and friendly and we felt as if we had been there before.
It wasn't until half way through our stay we realized the gentleman who would stop and talk to us and ask if everything was OK is the Manager. Everyone is hands-on, including the ladies that look after our room. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable. We usually get to stay in a one-bedroom efficiency with a covered patio.
When I get up in the morning I put the coffee on, pick up the free local newspapers, and sit out on the patio and start another wonderful day in Paradise. The management is constantly upgrading the facilities and new offerings such as free Internet service and Wi-Fi.
After breakfast, if we were not going touring of Aruba or snorkelling we would amble over to the beach. Because their beach area is not crowded we could always find an umbrella/palapa and enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
The last past 2 years we have rented a car but there are bus stops right out front.
This year almost every day someone from the Beach Bar would come around with cold fruit on a skewer for the guests as well as check for food or drink orders. They also checked that only the guests were using the chairs and umbrellas/palapas. There never was a problem at any time of day finding a lounge or shade.
On Monday's the Beach Bar hosts the Bulletin Board Parties with half price drinks and free hot nibblies.
On January 24th the Amsterdam Manor had live music and a "Marching Band" for the Hotels guests and employee's Carnival celebration.
Mark who also runs Mangos really treats the group right.
I think you will now understand why we have keep coming back to the Amsterdam Manor so often. It is the place you want to come back to for a true friendly Aruba experience with a touch of the Dutch influence.
We have already booked for next visit.
