The Amerstam Manor was great! So many great things to say about Aruba and the Amsterdam. This quaint, charming small hotel was so willing to please. When I arrived I had some trouble with my room at first, and to my surprise I was upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite overlooking the ocean with a bottle of wine sent to our room for the trouble. Julio, Sasha, and the manager (can't remember her name) but were very polite, courteous, and really wanted to make it right. I give it two thumbs up and will definitely return. The grounds were kept beautifully landscaped, the rooms immaculate, nice pool and lounge area, great restaurant, and Filo the best barbender on the island. Very willing to help, and his kindness for finding inexpensive restaurnats on the island was deeply appreciated. Also Angela at the beach bar was great! So kind and sweet to make me feel so welcome in Aruba and at her bar. She really is a gem....The Amsterdam has a great staff that go the extra mile for their customers.
The Amsterdam was in a great location also. Close to town, great beach, and great transportation that stopped right at the hotel every 15 minutes.
Thanks for such a great time, and I miss it so much already and can't wait to come back.
We just returned from 2 weeks at the Amsterdam Manor. The staff were incredible. They booked excursions, made dinner reservations etc... They just wanted you to relax and enjoy your holiday.
The rooms were nicely decorated, well equipped and very clean. We spent all our time at the beach which had plenty of lounges and a great beech bar.
The Amsterdam management and staff want your stay to be enjoyable and fun. It definately was!
Amsterdam Manor offered everything we were looking for in a resort. When staying at this hotel, you really felt a part of the island.
This was our first visit to Aruba and the Amsterdam Manor.
Having said that, we cannot wait to return. Hopefully for a much longer period.
There are so many pluses to the Manor, I don't know where to start. The people outstanding, front desk Sasha,Kristi,Illis and all the others are the most professional and courteous we have met on our many travels. They are there to make your visit comfortable and happy. The restaurant is lovely, food very good and reasonable. Hello to George and young Claus, the intern from Holland, job well done. The staff that take care of the rooms, well done.
The rooms are spacious and very clean and well equipped.
The weather was very hottttt!!!!!!!!!!!! and thank heaven for the strong winds it made the beach (which is lovely) more comfortable in the heat.
Last but certainly not least. Filo the bartender at the pool bar!!!!!
If you want a safe, wonderful place to go as a couple or as a family you could not go wrong at this lovely small, first class resort.
We would like to thank you all for such a lovely time.
We just spent and incredible week at The Amsterdam Manor with our dear friends Carol and Ralph. I am a travel agent and was looking for a resort nearby to La Cabana where we had other friends staying. I had never stayed at Amsterdam Manor nor had I ever sent anyone there. I read the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try.
I emailed the resort prior and requested a 2 bedroom with a balcony. I received an email back from Amy Ras-Speyer. She said had a lovely room with a large balcony waiting for us. She was not kidding!
What a fabulous resort! I have nothing but praise for the resort.
The rooms and grounds were impecable! The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. Christy greated us at the front desk when we arrived with a warm smile. Our room was not quite ready, so she gave us free drink coupons and sent us on our way for a while. We went acroos the street (very short distnace)to the beach bar. We settled in with lovely cocktails mad my Angela. When we returned , our roomm was all set for us. It was fabulous! A big doulbel staircase going up to the second floor. Double french doors greeted us. This opened in to a full kitchen.
It flowed into a dining room/living room. There were 2 spacoius bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. On of the bedrooms had a beautiful garden tub and jacuzzi. The other, a double shower. There was another set of french doors that opend from the living room on to the most ecredible balcony! It was huge and wrapped around the living room/dining room. It had lounge chairs and a table with umbrella and deck chairs. It overlooked the beach and the famous Divi Tree. The food at the resort
was wonderful. Mark, the restraunt and beverage manajor does a wonderful job. Then there is Filo. Our 'jack of all trades' You would see him around doing just about anything that needed to be done along with his main job as bartender. There is a relaxing upper floor, open aired bar. Filo makes the best 'long island iced teas'. There were many other people there making sure you stay is perfect. Christy at the fornt desk was always more than willing to get you a cab or make a reservation for you. The housekeeping staff and grounds crew did an excellent job.
Then, there was the beach. The most beatiful spot. Just a short walk across the street. Beach chairs and Palapa huts were readily available as well as floats.
Then, the wonderful Amy Ras-speyer, overseeing and making sure everyone was happy.
We cannot wait to go back. You cannot go wrong with the Amsterdam Manor!

We would like to extend our thanks to the staff at the Amsterdam Manor for an awesome vacation. Everyone we were in contact with was very friendly and professional. The service was outstanding and the facilities excellent. We will definitely be back. We loved the small "family" type atmosphere. The food at Mangos was great and as a result we only ate offsight once. Thanks again........ Al
My husband and I just returned from a week at the Amsterdam Manor. We found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and the resort to be very clean and well maintained. We were greeted by a smiling face from Sasha upon check-in, enjoyed friendly conversation with Filo at the pool bar, with great service and laughs from George at Mangos for dinner. The show on Thursday night was very entertaining as well as Sunday's live music on the beach. Our stay was very relaxing, beginning our day on our patio having coffee by the pool and enjoying beautiful Eagle Beach during the day. Access to free internet service to stay in touch with children at home via email was a nice bonus!
We look forward to returning next year!

The Amsterdam Manor was incredible. The hotel was immaculate and the staff was as courteous as can be. The restaurant and beach bar were great. Julio at the front desk was very helpful to us. He recommended some good restaurants and helped us through our car rental issue (highly recommend renting a car for a few days, but get a jeep if you want to go to the north side). Filo the bartender was awesome. He was friendly, knowledgable, and made some pretty good drinks too! Try a "Caribbean Wave." We wanted to do a private tour around the island with him, but we weren't there over a weekend. Anyway, the Amsterdam Manor was an awesome hotel. We had the best time and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a laid-back and friendly atmosphere. Thanks for the great trip.
Where do I begin? Jason and I had the most relaxing and very comfortable stay at the A.M. We are still basking in the afterglow.
The resort itself with it's quaint yet classy decor puts you in the best frame of mind as you step off the bus. The location is great also, because it is far off from the hi-rise area of the 'tourist' area and it has the best beach on the island.
The staff.....now there is a subject I could really go on and on about. I have been many places and have seen my share of well trained and well appointed staff however the A.M's staff tops them all. We were made to feel very welcome, and any care was addressed promptly (not that there were many). Julio and Sacha always greeted us with a smile weither we were there to book a tour, or exchange our towels. Maria our housekeeper took care of our room as though she were cleaning her own home. She even took the time to wash a few of our glasses if they were left in the sink from the previous night. 'Gracias Maria, Mucho Gusto.' Diego, Lina, and Angela at the beach bar kept our glasses filled with Balashi and the best Pina Coladas in the Caribbean. Filo the bartender at the pool bar ALWAYS has a joke and story for you, and never lets your glass run dry.
Mango's, what a wonderful little restaurant. The food was delicious, the wait staff were busy little bees. We had good time talking with them when we had the opportunity. Alex is tops in our books, he always cared weither we were enjoying our meal or not. We went to the A.M, on the ALL-INCLUSIVE deal and we think that we got the better end of the deal. Would we go all-inclusive again at the A.M? ABSOLUTELY!! We like the idea of not having to worry about meals, and drinks for that matter.
All in all the A.M is in a class of it's own. For everything that it has offered us we give it "two thumbs...way up!!!" (that's very, very good in Canadian terms). Will we return? Without a doubt! But we will do so for 2 weeks All-inclusive next time. Until we meet again!!
