Amsterdam Manor Guestbook

We arrived at Amsterdam Manor on August 20th en left on september 1st. We ate every day at Mango's for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is very good end fresh and there are many different things to choose from.
Special thanks to Teo and Marleny for their perfect service at breakfast and lunch. They were so nice, and our kids loved them as well.

I would like to leave a review on our amazing wedding reception experience at Passions on the Beach. Our wedding took place at another resort on the island however, we decided to host our reception at Passons on the Beach based on previous reviews and we are so glad that we did!! The wonderful Anne Maduro coordinated our reception at Passions. She assisted us throughout the entire planning process with selecting food, decor, etc; We had been planning our wedding and reception in Aruba from the U.S. for over a year and a half. Anne definitely made the process much smoother and stress free. The staff at the Amsterdam Manor and Passions were so accomodating, friendly and just wonderful. The food was amazing and the ambiance was unlike anything we had ever experienced. We would recommend Passions and Amsterdam Manor to anyone who is planning a wedding, vow renewal or even proposal in Aruba. We can honestly speak for ourselves and all of our guests who traveled from the United States that it was truly one of the best days of our lives. I would like to finally take this time to write a reveiw of the BEAUTIFUL wedding reception we had at the Passions Restaurant on the beach at Amsterdam Manor. It was truly the best day of our lives Our reception was coordinated by the wonderful Anne Maduro. From the moment we began planning our destination wedding in Aruba, Anne Maduro was absolutely amazing. I had researched about several different wedding/reception planners on the island however, after reading several positive reviews about Anne and Amsterdam Manor. My husband and I decided to have our reception at the beautiful Passions on the Beach. Anne was very professional, kind and informative throughout the entire planning process. My husband and I decided to allow her to surprise us with some of her ideas of how the decor would be displayed and when we arrived at our reception we were absolutely stunned at how beautiful, creative and elaborate everything was! Our wedding guests all were very impressed and could not stop talking about how wonderful our reception was and how comfortable their stay was at Amsterdam Manor. We feel so blessed to have the wonderful men and women of this resort be apart of our wedding day and we are especially grateful for the guidance, input and hard work of our fabulous coordinator Anne Maduro. We would recommend Amsterdam Manor and Anne Maduro to anyone! Thanks Anne :-)

Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing honeymoon! I found Amsterdam Manor online and even though friends urged us to stay at a high rise I thought we'd be happier at your beautiful resort. It was beyond our expectations in every way! The room was comfortable and spacious, the bar and restaurant were top notch and the pool and beach were clean and beautiful! Your staff remembered our names and helped us figure out the bus and book dinner and snorkeling reservations. We'll be back!

We can't say enough about our stay at the Amsterdam Manor. Everything from the moment we checked in, to dinner on the beach was so wonderful that we didn't want to leave. Our stay here was a wonderful experience. We were so pleased with the accomodations and with the fantastic service. This place really felt like a (much more beautiful) home away from home. We can't wait to return to the Amsterdam Manor this summer!

We came to the Amsterdam Manor Beach for our honeymoon in May 2005. We chose the hotel after visiting the website and corresponding with the staff by email. We wanted a smaller hotel with more ambiance and intimacy than the larger chains offer. We are happy to say that the Amsterdam Manor Beach will be our only choice for our next trip to Aruba. Our room was wonderful (the 1 bedroom suite), spotless, and spacious at almost 700 square feet. We received complimentary wine and champagne upone check-in, the staff was very gracious and eager to assist us with all of our requests and we loved the free rafts that could be rented at the beach bar to float in the caribbean sea. Also the morning coffee at Mango's was incredible and they packed it to-go so we could enjoy it on our patio. We would recommend the Amsterdam Manor Beach to anyone without hesitation. We had a wonderful time and have been plotting how to come back...and quickly!!

I just wanted to take a moment to tell everyone how grateful I am for the wonderful way we were treated during our stay at Amsterdam Manor. In all my travels, I have never felt more welcome anywhere I have stayed. The staff were friendly and accomodating, the resort was beautiful and the entire trip was a slice of heaven. I can't wait to return to Aruba and to Amsterdam Manor!

To Jurgen, Marc, Janine, Illis, Jorge, Mario and the rest of the staff, my sincerest thanks for a fabulous vacation! You are the best! Why would anyone stay anywhere else?

We spent our honeymoon at Amsterdam Manor and had an amazing time! The resort offered everything that two newlyweds would want...without having to share it with tons of other guests. We especially enjoyed AMBR's honeymoon gift which allowed us a complete dinner (with drinks, appetizers, and dessert) at Passions, a sunset cruise, champagne, fun AMBR t-shirts, and other honeymoon souvenirs! We found the staff to be friendly and we enjoyed how much they helped us to celebrate our new marriage. When considering the proximity to arguably the best beach on the island AND to all of the downtown and high rise area attractions, Amsterdam Manor simply offers the best stay in Aruba!

We can't wait to enjoy a second honeymoon at AMBR soon!!

Dear Amsterdam Employees and especially Rebecca,

I would like to say thank you for creating a wonderful wedding experience for the both of us. We truly enjoyed the intimacy of your hotel. Both of our families were ver happy we chose the Amsterdam....from the movies on the beach to our Wedding Ceremony itself. We had approximatley 80 family members fly down for the occasion. We plan on going back every year from now on and we are also planning to do a 5 year reunion for those who went and those that missed it, so watch out. Thank you so much again.

We stayed at the Amsterdam Manor for our honeymoon last April. We could not have asked for a better honeymoon. Everything about it was perfect and the Amsterdam Manor had a lot to do with that! The service was superb - whenever we needed anything, everyone at the hotel was quick to help out. We had a problem with the safe in our room one of the days and a maintenance person showed up within 3 minutes of calling the front desk to fix it. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The maid service was wonderful. They left flowers in the room for us and replenished them halfway through the week. The food was delicious, we certainly did not go hungry any day we were there! Mango's has a delicious breakfast in a beautiful outdoor setting. We ate dinner there a few nights, as well - they give huge portions of SUPER tasty food. We both loved everything about our dinners there. On Tuesday night, they have a BBQ with traditional Aruban dancers. Tuesday was our first night there and the BBQ was the PERFECT way to start off our honeymoon. The BBQ was all you can eat right off the grill and believe me, we ate ALOT! Included in our honeymoon package was a free dinner at Passion's restaurant on the beach. We made our reservation for Friday night and watched them set up the tables right on the beach before we went in to get ready for dinner. There is nothing like eating delicious food with your toes in the sand, watching a gorgeous sunset!

We have been to many beaches and keep saying that Eagle Beach is the most beautiful beach we have been to. The water is perfect, clear blue and calm. The sand was soft and the sun was hot! Perfect beach. Perfect hotel. Perfect food. THANK YOU, Amsterdam Manor, for a perfect honeymoon!!

We are planning a return to Aruba for our anniversary this April and cannot wait to get there!!

We had a fantastic wedding at Eagle Beach on December 1st 2006!

Amsterdam Manor's wedding coordinator Rebecca helpt us with all arrangements before the wedding, everything easily planned from home via e-mail! She helped us with all the paperwork (all papers were easy to apply for from the Swedish "Skatteverket", and it was also easy to register the marriage when we came home), hair dresser, photographer, flowers...

At the day of our wedding, it rained heavily, but nothing could make us angry on our special day! Rebecca was very helpful and made alternative plans for our day, should the rain have continued, but in the afternoon the sun was shining again and everything went as we had planned.

The civil ceremony was very nice (the Town Hall is beautiful), and the Beach Blessing was so perfect and romantic! The photographer, Diane Keizer, that Rebecca had recommended took so many beautiful pictures of us at both Town Hall and the beach. Money very well spent, we had many laughs thanks to Diane, and now have over 200 photos of our special day!

We had dinner at Passions restaurant the evening of our wedding, a really romantic experience on the beach with almost a full moon shining over us. Also great food and friendly staff!

A wedding and honeymoon at Aruba and Amsterdam Manor is highly recommended!

In July of 06 we had decided that we wanted to go away to an island and get married. We chose Aruba and after going through all the Hotels we chose Amsterdam Manor because the web site said they coordinate weddings. That was our first introduction to Rebecca. We got all the paper work that we needed and sent it to her and she did all of the leg work. We had high expectations in our mind on what it would be like to get married in Aruba. We will tell you that every expectation was fulfilled and then some. We can't begin to explain just how great the experience was at the Amsterdam Manor. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is absolutely unbelievable.

Rebecca our wedding coordinator was awesome. Julio the activities coordinator was above and beyond. When ever we had a question about anything Julio would not only give us an answer he would give options and would go out of his way to make our honeymoon perfect. We had heard so much about all the restaurants on the island from people back home (Boston) that had been there. We went to a couple of the restaurants but our favorite one ended up being Mangos right at the Amsterdam Manor. The staff was great and our personal favorite was "Prim". He was our waiter at night and he was just a great human being. Great sense of humor, we found ourselfs looking forward to seeing him at dinner. He is definitely missed. We are very much looking forward to seeing him next year.

Eagle beach was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and VERY CLEAN! Blue Monday's were the drink of the week for my wife and I. Our wedding day couldn't have been any more perfect if it was written in a book. The weather was great and basically the rest was provided by Rebbeca. At our ceremony at Town Hall which is a beautiful building. When we heard that we were going to have the civil ceremony at the town hall we were kind of worried. We had ideas on what a town hall looks like based on Massachusetts. Let me tell you that it is NOTHING like that.

After the town hall we went back to the Manor and met Rebbeca at Eagle Beach for the beach blessing. This is the part that still takes my breath away. Rebbeca did such a great job of making everything PERFECT LOOKING. Rebbeca had set up an Arbor on the beach and decorated to the colors of my wifes bouquet. I can't tell you how great it was to be barefoot on the beach getting married with the sound of the ocean right behind us, it really was like a dream come true. After the ceremony we had about an hour or so to hangout. Rebecca wanted us back around sunset for pictures. Here is some advice...don't pay for a photographer Rebecca took GREAT photos and put them on a cdrom for us. When we got home and showed or friends and family our photos the were blown away as were we when we first saw them. We owe so much to Rebecca for making our wedding a greater experience then we could have ever dreamed of.

After the pictures we had dinner on the beach with torches and candles lighting our table. Our waitress was Diana and she decorated our table with shells and flowers it was completed with a path of rose petals to our table. The food was excellent and again Diana made the night more special. A day doesn't go by that I don't think back on my honeymoon and the people who made it great. We can say that everytime we go back to Aruba it will be spent at the Amsterdam Manor. If you want a quiet relaxing vacation or honeymoon where everybody will know your name we absolutely recommend the Amsterdam Manor.

Het is alweer bijna 9 maanden geleden dat wij op 7 juli 2006 een onvergetelijke trouwceremonie op het strand van Aruba hebben beleefd. Waarschijnlijk heeft niemand anders zijn geloften zo snel vernieuwd als dat wij dat hebben gedaan: slechts 1 week eerder waren we in Nederland getrouwd.
Op deze site staan allemaal mooie verhalen van bruidsparen die ons voor gingen, die hun dank betuigen aan weddingplanner Rebecca.
Aan alle details was gedacht: de dag voor de secret ceremonie een wit jurkje cadeau en na een rit naar een onbekende bestemming (het strand van Amsterdam Manor) een pastoor, fakkels, een bruidsboeket en champagne. Het was in 1 woord een sprookje.
Daarna ook nog een nacht mogen genieten van de fantastische bruidssuite van AM: ik had een blauwe arm van mezelf knijpen of dit wel werkelijkheid was...
Eenmaal in Nederland hebben we de schitterende foto's gebundeld in een prachtig foto-album. Iedere keer als we ze terugzien ervaren we dit zelfde heerlijke gevoel weer opnieuw.
Tot in september, dan komen we weer terug: we zijn nu de dagen al aan het aftellen.

It all began with a trip to Amsterdam...

What a week we had in Aruba!! The Amsterdam Manor was the perfect backdrop for our wedding. For our 47 friends and family that made the trek to this beautiful Island, it could not have been a better beach, hotel or staff to be surrounded with. The coziness of the small hotel, to be able to run into our Guests while going to the beach or having breakfast made the week much more enjoyable.

Our wedding day was....MAGICAL. Thanks to Rebecca for all of our planning, and to the wonderful staff who made it all come together. It was a day never to forget!

Our daughter's wedding took place at the Amsterdam Manor resort on October 20, 2007. The wedding planners at the Amsterdam Manor did a fantastic job answering myriad questions and making all arrangements. The setup on the beach for the wedding, reception and dinner at sunset was stunning. All of our fifty some guests say it was the very best wedding and reception and party they ever attended. We can't say enough about the hotel, the staff, Eagle Beach and Aruba! This vacation destination and these accommodations are absolutely superb!

My husband and I got married on Sept 27th, 2007 at the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort and it was incredible! Everyone was so attentive and professional. The wedding coordinator did a fantastic job and everything was perfect! Thank you Amsterdam Beach Resort for giving us incredible memories that will last a lifetime!!
