Cocktails and snacks

We have found some tasty and easy-to-make cocktails in the book ‘How Can I Make You Happy‘ that will not only make the time go by faster, but will also make you look like a professional bartender. Or you can pass by Horizons bar when the travel restrictions have been lifted and have one of these great cocktails made for you.

The Caipirinha is Brazil’s national cocktail, made with cachaça, sugar, and lime. Cachaça, also known as caninha, or any of a multitude of traditional names, is Brazil’s most common distilled alcoholic beverage. These are your ingredients:

  • 5 cl cachaça
  • Half a lime cut into 4 wedges
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

A wide variety of fresh fruits can be used in place of lime. In the absence of cachaça, vodka can also be used, making a caipiroska.

Jameson Green Tea

This Jameson Green Tea is a cocktail with a twist, and if you do not drink alcohol, a refreshing green tea is also a great option during this stressful time. Besides, we can all use a healthy drink once in a while.

Bon Nochi

Bon Nochi translates to Good Evening or Good Night in Papiamento and this locally named cocktail is another healthy beverage with a refreshing taste. It has pickled ginger, cucumber, lime, vodka and cranberry juice.
