How close are you to the beach?

Our resort is located about seventy (70) paces from the beach. There is a small two (2) lane road with a crosswalk in between.

Do I need to reserve a beach palapa?

All beaches on the island are public and so are the palapas. They are taken on a first come, first serve basis. Our beach attendees will assist you with any available palapa of your choice. The lounge chairs, beach floats and towels are complimentary for registered in-house guests only.

Does the resort charge a resort fee?

We do not charge a resort fee.

Does the resort offer any complimentary activities?

We offer several complimentary activities from a weekly scuba-diving orientation to a weekly movie night. Learn about all of our amenities and services here.

Will I need a car while staying at the resort?

A rental car is not necessary but recommended. Public transportation is readily available with a bus-stop located right outside our resort. It can bring you to the Palm Beach area within five (5) minutes. There is another bus-stop that is located on the beachside of our resort. It can bring you to downtown Oranjestad within ten (10) minutes.

What is your pet policy?

Guests are permitted to bring their four-legged friends along for an additional fee of $10 per day (the fee is waived if your pet is a service animal). View our full pet policy here.

Does the resort offer a shuttle service to/from the airport?

We do not provide shuttle services to/from airport, but local taxis are easily accessible. If you wish to pre-arrange transfers, you can do this through our concierge.

Does Aruba have a rainy season?

Among other Caribbean islands, Aruba consistently ranks for the least amount of rainfall. We only receive about 15 inches of rain for the entire year, making our weather conditions as pleasant as they are safe.

Will I need outlet adapters for US polarized plugs?

For electricity, our property uses 110V/60Hz. By leaving a security deposit, we provide converters/adapters (220V to 110V) at the Front Desk.

Is the resort accessible?

Our resort consists of two (2) and three (3) story buildings. There are staircases. ramps and railings throughout our property. 

Can I check-in early?

Check-in time is at 4:00 PM. Please inform us at the time of your reservation if you plan to arrive early. We can’t guarantee that your room will be ready, but we will do our best to accommodate.

Can I get a late check-out?

The official check-out time is at 12 noon. Depending on your flight schedule, one of our shower-rooms can be arranged on the day of your departure (subject to availability). Please inform the front desk of your request in order to make the necessary arrangements. Additional fees may apply for a late checkout.

Are the rooms non-smoking?

Smoking in the guest rooms is prohibited. Violation of this rule may result in a $250 penalty. 

Is there free Wi-Fi in the rooms?

We provide guests with complimentary high-speed internet services throughout our guestrooms, restaurants, bars, reception area, as well as by the pool and beach. Guests can also access the internet via our 24/7 internet desk, adjacent to the front desk.

Do the rooms have safes and hair dryers?

Is Amsterdam Manor an all-inclusive resort?

While we are not an all-inclusive resort, we do offer an all-inclusive add-on package. This includes access to all of our restaurants and bars.

Is there service charge at the restaurants?

Our food and beverage outlets have a 15% service charge automatically added to the bill. The service charge is split amongst the staff and is a common practice at local restaurants. However, some local restaurants may have the service charge included in their prices.

Is there a rental location nearby for Jet Skis and other water activities?

Yes – there are watersport rental companies located nearby. Aruba offers a wide range of land and sea activities and excursions, all of which can be arranged directly through our concierge, located in the lobby.

Are there any shops, restaurants, etc. within walking distance?

Yes – our central location makes access local shops and restaurants a breeze. We are a 10-minute drive from downtown Oranjestad and a 20-minute drive from Aruba’s international airport, Reina Beatrix. The Palm Beach area is just a few minutes away as well and offers a variety of dining outlets, shops, and casinos. One of the largest supermarkets on the island is found within 10 minutes walking distance.

Is there laundry service on property?

There are self-serve washers and dryers available for guest use for $2 (quarter operated), 24 hours daily. Professional laundry services are also available. For guest convenience, there is a laundry bag and price list form found in each room.

How can I book excursions and dinner reservations?

Local excursions and dinner reservations can be booked through our concierge at concierge@amsterdammanor.aw .

Where are each of the rooms located and what are their views?

The Manor Studios are either located on the ground floor with a garden view or on the upper floor with a balcony and partial ocean view. The Superior Studios are located on the ground floor with a private terrace and distant ocean view. The One-Bedroom Suites are located on the ground floor with a private terrace and distant ocean view. The Two-Bedroom Suites are located on the second floor with a balcony and a distant ocean view.
