HR Assistant Manager

About the Role:
Play a pivotal support role in Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort's HR operations as our HR Assistant Manager. Working closely with the HR Manager, you'll help maintain compliance with Aruban labor laws while fostering a positive work environment for our diverse team. Your organizational skills and HR knowledge will contribute directly to smooth HR processes, from recruitment to retention, in our dynamic hospitality setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Ensure compliance with Aruban labor laws in daily HR operations
  • Assist in developing and implementing employee retention strategies
  • Prepare monthly HR reports and contribute to annual reporting
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities and training sessions
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Support performance management processes and documentation
  • Assist with workforce planning and scheduling
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries
  • Help manage HR systems and digital records

Requirements:

  • HBO Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1-2 years of HR or administrative experience (hospitality preferred)
  • Certifications in HR, labor law, or personnel management (a plus)
  • Fluency in English, Dutch, Papiamento, and Spanish
  • Knowledge of Aruban employment regulations
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience coordinating employee events or training programs
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
