Restaurant Supervisor
About the Role:
Step into a leadership position at Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort as our Restaurant Supervisor, where you'll elevate our dining experience through exceptional service standards and team mentorship. In this senior role, you'll oversee both Passions on the Beach and Horizons Lounge, ensuring seamless service delivery while maintaining our commitment to sustainability and guest satisfaction. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating memorable dining moments that reflect Aruba's warm hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor restaurant and bar teams during all meal services
- Supervise daily operations including setup, service execution, and closing procedures
- Train staff on service standards, menu knowledge, and sustainability practices
- Manage financial transactions and ensure accurate cash handling
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards in all dining areas
- Resolve guest concerns promptly while maintaining composure during peak service
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to optimize service flow and timing
- Implement and monitor environmental initiatives and certification programs
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and provide performance feedback to team members
- Manage inventory and ensure proper restaurant setup for all meal periods
Requirements:
- EPI Hospitality Degree or equivalent qualification
- 3+ years of hospitality experience with proven supervisory success
- Fluency in English, Dutch, Spanish, and Papiamento
- Exceptional guest service skills with ability to anticipate needs
- Demonstrated leadership in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Professional appearance with polished communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of restaurant operations and safety standards
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to sustainability practices in F&B operations
